Duke football is busting out special helmets for the Quick Lane Bowl on Tuesday against Northern Illinois, and they’re an awesome throwback.

Rather than a Blue Devil head or the classic blue D, the team will wear white helmets with the school name written in a thin blue script, and they look fantastic. They also come with a cool and kind of intimidating dark blue visor — although that will probably be decorative since the game is inside at Ford Field in Detroit.
These white, old-school helmets will also match the team’s all-white uniforms for the bowl game, which the school is describing as #icywhites. Here’s how the whole look comes together in Duke’s hype video for the Quick Lane Bowl (5:15 p.m. ET, ESPN) on Tuesday evening.
